Sixteen students of the Shamsunnahar Hall of Dhaka University (DU) have received the 'Fatema Iqbal Trust Fund Scholarship' for their excellent academic performances.
A DU press release on on September 10, 2015 said that the scholarship were given to Rumana Rashid Rusi, Khadija-Tul-Kobra and Mahfuja Akter Onto of Arts faculty, Sarmina Rima, Jothi Roy, Shifat Jahan shifa, Tasdida Afrin Anny and Jannatul Ferdaus of Sociology faculty, Mabia, Sayeed Fatema Akhter and Rifat Ara Niju of Science faculty, Dipti Rani Das, and Alyea Hossain Lima of Business Studies faculty, Romana Akther and Israt Dilruba Mitro of Biology faculty and Farhana Islam of Pharmacy faculty.
Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique distributed scholarship among the students at the Shamsunnahar Hall's auditorium in the university.
Treasure of the University Professor Dr. M. Kamal Uddin presided over the scholarship handing over ceremony while Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Akhtar Hossain attended as special guest.
